In accordance with the overall deployment of the standardization of electric vehicle charging facilities in China, under the coordination and support of the National Standards Committee, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Energy Bureau, the National Automobile Standard Committee lead, the Automobile Research Center, the Power Enterprise Federation and the Electrical Research Institute jointly drafted the "Electric vehicle conduction charging connection device 1th part: General Requirements", Electric vehicle conduction charging connection device part 2nd: AC Charging interface, "electric vehicle conduction charging connection device 3rd: DC Charging Interface" three national standards; by the National Energy Administration, Ministry of Industry and Information technology, Electric Power Enterprise Federation and the Automobile Research Center jointly drafted the The national standard of communication protocol between non-vehicle conduction charger and battery management system of electric vehicle.

The four standards were issued on December 22, 2011 with the approval of the "National Standards Bulletin 2011 21st" of the People's Republic of China, which was implemented on March 1, 2012.
